Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm enjoying making sure that no new thread goes untagged

(what a sad little life, Dio.)

Done :-)

Not sad, Dio - it's helping people find threads that are almost but not quite entirely unlike the thread they are looking at :-)

I've just sent some feedback to Fetch regarding spam threads.

I've suggested that if we had a "special" code word to tag them with (spam is a valid tag on one existing thread) they could be automatically flagged for removal (and perhaps hidden or even composted).

I like it too. I had to remove the tag from the 'Kitchen Spam Appreciation Society' thread, but if you add 'spam' as a tag to any thread now, there'll be a warning message explaining that the thread will be removed if you proceed... and it also sends an fmail to me too. I'm sure no-one will abuse the ability, but if it somehow happens accidentally, I should be able to repair the damage fairly quickly.
