Sticking my hand up, I looked at the menopause and periods thread and thought about it. There are people who are non-binary and trans who will be affected by this so imo women shouldn't be a tag. Periods and menopause fall could fall under menstrual (like when in a shop instead of feminine health it's menstrual products)

I’ve already cooked dinner, I’ve got to clear up next.

I had this internal debate earlier when I was tagging “Ladies Who Lift.” In the end I decided just to tag the activity and not the gender.

I feel I've opened up more of a discussion than I meant to. OK, so if we don't use "women" as a tag, what do we use? If it is useful for someone who is interested in a thread about women's bikes or women's running shoes to see other threads about women's bikes or women's running shoes, how do we achieve this in a suitably sensitive way when the tags are, presumably, visible to all?

I did refer to "health" in my earlier post, but I suppose many gender-specific health issues have their own name anyway. So maybe that's not such a problem. It's where there's no gender-specific word but the item can be gender-specific.

As I say to my children, anything is for anybody.

I don't know what the alternative is, but nothing is gender specific.
