I am currently waiting for feedback on my essay. I posted on the whatsapp group that a few of us are in for our little group asking if anyone had any feedback yet and I have virtually been accused of cheating!
I posted earlier in the discussion saying I had asked the tutor if she could give me feedback on 20% of my essay and she said yes. I had a question from one of them regarding the final date and I told them the 7th. ( Like you had advised me I proposed a date and she gave me one )
We had been originally asked to submit 20% in the formative. I think at that point I only had just over 1000 words of the 5000 word essay and it was basically introduction and and some of my what. I have submitted 1371 words of my so what section this time so yes I guess I am just over 300 words over the 'limit'.
I now feel like the worst human on the planet.
Even more so now because I got angry in return to her snarky post.
Honestly I have felt increasingly like throwing in the towel and this just adds to it. I have deliberately not got any help from anywhere else as my tutor has said she knows what shes looking for and too much input from anywhere else will confuse things.
I am trying to stop myself from storming off and leaving the group. I am currently hovering over to reply button with the post where the person asked me the date just to ram it up her bloody nose but I don't really think that will be particularly helpful in the current situation.
Are they right? Have I cheated? I did ask if I could send her 20% and she agreed. Granted I haven't got the feedback yet and I feel as if I'm not going to get it now tbf. I have ten weeks left on this course if I can thrash it out that long. I think if I could cry I would but I have been passed tears for some weeks now

Oh EB. You have not cheated! You asked for feedback, apparently based on an invitation to do so. If they haven't used that opportunity it's on them. If what you submitted is a bit over the 20% limit, then the lecturer should stop reviewing wherever she's supposed to stop.

I have submitted less than the 20% total on this submission as I had already submitted around 1000 words previously. Total allowable submission should be 2000 words. On top of the initial submission I sent in 1371 words. I don't mind if she stops at 1000 because I have previously submitted 1000 I just feel like everyone now thinks I am cheating because I have asked for feedback a second time.
I'm pleased I don't need to go back into uni anymore because of covid I just want this whole thing to be over.

As you say above, you've been absolutely scrupulous in getting help from the official channels only, so you are not a cheater.
Reading back I'm a bit confused though as 20% of 5000 words would be 1000 words. Is the 1371 words for a second essay? If it's for the original essay you probably would be getting more feedback than stipulated, but as you say, you're probably not going to get the feedback anyway, so it's not unfair on anyone else.

Sorry its me who's confused it all not being very clear. We were asked to submit 2000 words in the formative. After that she said she would look at 20% of my essay. I only submitted around 1000 words in the original formative and now 1371 for 20% Like I say I don't mind if she stops at the 1000 words.

Yes, mute them. They might have misunderstood, but #BeKind should be paramount at the moment.
