Im glad someone asked the question Linds. Yesterday I tackled some literature searching. I now have a significant number of papers I will have to read Struggling to find much on my main topic - which at least means I will be contributing to the research in that area |

Intellectual intervals en.wikipedia.org I've always had to work like that but didn't have the business sense to realise I could have given it a name and turned it into a self-help program I could have been a management guru by now and spent all my time at conferences |

I think it's generally pretty well known, isn't it JenL? Anyway, it works for me I have done zero pomodori this afternoon, I've spent all my time writing 300 persuasive, easy to understand words to try and recruit participants. Getting people to say yes to stuff is hard Still, my communication skills are hopefully improving |

It works for me too. I'm just pissed that I didn't think to market it back in the 80s when having 3 under-5s meant it really was the only way to get anything done

Aha there is a name for how I study - who knew (well evidently fleecy and JenL - but who else knew). It feels more legitimate now though.

Never heard of that before but like the idea. As my TMA still hasn't written itself I'll pomodor it this weekend! 'Luckily' a possible last minute London Marathon substitute appearance which became a possibility yesterday will now not happen so I will have some time...

I failed in my attempts to give my London place away. I've made my "things to do" list for the weekend, I need to *focus*

I have to write a dissertation and I don't have a clue what to do! I have my question but as I have never had to do one before (My undergrad was two long essays instead) I actually have not got a clue what to do. How do you write it, how do you do a literature review, do I need to do a literature review?. I have asked my supervisor but I don't think he appreciates i know NOTHING about it |
