Thanks - apparently it was "interesting" on the high ropes!

I was running and felt that if my ears were a little bigger I'd have been airborne. I shudder to think what that must have been like up on ropes :-o

mrs shanksi
Hello everyone, my eldest turns 20 today, I can't quite get my head round that fact! 1999 doesn't seem that long ago....

He's living back at home with us after spending his first year of uni (at Aberdeen) in halls then 2nd year he was on an exchange at the National University of Singapore. He's studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering which he had planned to do for years. He's registered partially-sighted but very independent, loves travelling and is in to roller coasters and public transport, politics etc.

Just thought I'd say hello, I've found the teen thread helpful and as we know the issues with our children don't magically stop when they turn 20. Our son feels a bit cut off from Aberdeen Uni life since he was abroad he didn't find anyone here to share a flat with for this academic year so he can be lonely. He finds it harder to make friends because of not recognising people due to sight issues. I've advised joining societies etc so we'll see if he does.

Hope he settles soon mrs shanksi

I'll be watching the thread too, I have two in their twenties plus three step-twenties and another step-teen who will join the club next year. Quite a range of personalities and circumstances over the six of them!

I hope he does Mrs S, loneliness is so horrible.

Good grief Goofee, that's a lot!
