I’ve typically used P20 on my body and just my normal moisturiser which has spf in it. Today my face has really caught the sun so wondered what else there is recommended by real people. |

I’m only out for a couple hours max atm but used to use it also whilst marathon training so 3h+ and it didn’t mix with sweat / run in to my eyes or any nastiness like that

I am on my third Basal Cell Carcinoma so I find the simple expedient of a baseball style cap does the trick in a less messy way than cream.

I use altruist. It has one the newer, more advanced broad spectrum filters, tinosorb A2B. It's also very affordable at £4 a bottle. I use the SPF 30. The factor 50 has a PPD of 54 I think and 5 star UVA ultra rating. You need to put it on 20 minutes before you start sweating. It stays on OK but if I wipe my face for sweat, it will leave a white mark ony top (washes out). I just wear a hat and put less on my forehead so it doesn't run into my eyes. |

I just use whichever branded SPF50 "invisible" sunscreen is on offer at the supermarket and that suffices even for long rides on sunny Spanish islands, but if you want to avoid burning on a 17 hour event in July you'll need to rely at least in part on protection from clothing.

I can’t use the cheaper brands of sunscreen on my face as they turn me into a greasy mess. I use this, and it works for me, though I haven’t tested it out on a 17 hour race. Expensive but really worth it for my oily skin. laroche-posay.co.uk |
