The start of the course was a little congested and it took me awhile to get into my own rhythm but once I was running freely it felt really good up until about 5k when I felt really hot. I took on loads of water and tipped the rest over myself. My splits were
7.11, 7.11, 7.19, 7.27, 7.16, 7.12 and the last bit 6.45 pace. After the soaking the rest of the race felt east and I couldn't believe it when I saw 400m to the finish line. When I started running again last year I never thought I would be able to run a sub 45 minute 10 k again. Feel a bit emotional 😒

I have only done two weeks of reps so will continue with this type of training for awhile and see what happens. Good luck with your 10k on Tuesday! How are your legs feeling one week post marathon ?

Excellent :)

I feel fine post-marathon, thanks, though I had sore legs for the first few days. Not expecting to be setting the tarmac alight on Tuesday but that one is for my "races I've never done before" collection.

Race Pace 7:15-- 4:30

200m Intervals -- 48 -- 6:25 -- 3:59

400m Intervals -- 1:38 -- 6:34 -- 4:05

800m Intervals -- 3:25 -- 6:50 -- 4:15

1km Intervals -- 4:20 -- 6:59 -- 4:20

1200m Intervals -- 5:20 -- 7:07 -- 4:25

Mile Intervals -- 7:24 -- 7:24 -- 4:36

2km Intervals -- 8:40 -- 7:40 -- 4:46
