This is going to take some doing, race pace runs still only getting to 7.05 - 7.10/mile. I have been a bit unwell, so will gauge it again in a week or two.

That's good going PQ, not too far off

I've joined and will be lurking furiously in the background for a while.

It's a big ask for me but I run a lot better when I am against the watch, so here's hoping.

Welcome aboard everyone. Here is hoping we can all motivate each other.

Will put forthcoming races in header later tonight.

Tough interval session home from work for me, strong headwind. Know is not ideal doing intervals on such a route bit needs must. Didn't enjoy it and really had to push myself to do all sets but managed to get around about aimed for 6.30mm pace for most sets with last 400m @ 6.18 pace :-)

400 metres 1 min recover
800m 2 min recover
3 x 1200m 2.5 recover
800m
400m

Didn't enjoy at all, not even happy when completed but all helps come race day?

Have stalked all members of the group and put any 10k races on the horizon in the header ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Let me know if I have missed any out or if you want one included. Most of all though don't panic if you are in the header and have no chance or intention of getting sub 42 in said race, is just up there for us all to give a bit of support in the build up.

Well done, PQ! That's a great start towards the sub 42.

Tough session there, TT. Great work getting through that one and it'll all give you bags of confidence when you're at the start of your next race.

My next attempt is June 14 at my club's 10k handicap race. Looking forward to it, because I like the course and it's a good, low-key event. :)

Now that's inspiration! Thanks, TT. I'll still have my marathon legs under me at Huntingdon so Bushy in July is a better bet.

Lyra, feel the love and fly, my pretty!

You will be surprised what marthon legs can do for you in a 10k Rich, have added Bushy too though plus Lyra's club 10k!
