Go well guys - and be glad you're not here in the minus temperatures!

-8°C here today, windy, overcast and a few inches of snow. Will be a slow, chilly and slippery run today :)

We have a feels like of -7C here in the middle of England Bowman - not used to it especially this early in winter. No snow but freezing fog and icy trails I've minced round the last two days. Having difficulty motivating myself out this morning, I'm not sure I'll be able to move in the amount of clothes I'll need to wear to feel comfortable!

Yes the “feels like” is more telling.

Been unusual cold here too this early in the season. And for a long period of time. But I rather get this than sleet.
The motivation is a bit harder now for sure :)

I’ve been enjoying jogging around in cold bright weather but wouldn’t want to be racing in these conditions.

Brunski
I’m racing a 10k on Sunday, apparently it’ll be like running on a beach with lots of sand/grit.

In other news I just missed out on London GFA with my undertrained Boston Lincs marathon attempt, my 4 1/2 minutes was just short. Bit annoying as I spent about 2 minutes in the portaloo at around 18 miles. Undecided if I run a spring marathon next year.

That's a bit of a shock Brunski, I suppose that's what you get for being a young whippersnapper :-)

Not usually such a harsh cutoff is it? Thought it was generally a couple of minutes.

Sorry to hear that Brunski. Hope it warms up a bit for your race tomorrow, it's bliddy cold and slippery out here.

Very oversubscribed this year jda - I think it was five minutes under the GFA time for men and two and a half for women to make the cut.

Thanks everyone. It’s been a very sunny day in Valencia - what a change from the UK. Definitely got the pre-race nerves on this one.
