Yes...but that is if you have a team and a coach to get all the splits and times for you. Doesn't sound like ALAN has all that

I didn't say it wasn't...just in ALAN case it seems like it could benefit by accumulating abit more data for progression

I do have a garmin, but only use it for training, i used to put unecessery pressure on myself to run certain splits. Started to not wear a watch from the start of the year and pb in every distance ive raced except 5miles
SPR - I will run it on how i feel but want to work out a good pace to go off at

Alan,
I see....if you can't use the garmin without creating such negative pressure then definetly stick with other means...such as have someone stand on the course giving you some ideas to pacing efforts. If not just stick with going by feel and be happy with the results
