One child's school is open and another's is closed. Wife staying at home as a result, so I'll be venturing out shortly. Popped out to Sainsbury's - very cold and slow moving traffic following further snow overnight, so it might be a short day at work due to the travelling conditions.
It's a very mixed blessing, though, because most of the staff can't get in and nor can the other doctor who should be working today (probably genuinely), so we're in siege mode.
Yes. Roads not too bad (I think a lot of people who live further out haven't tried, meaning less traffic once you get to the clearer roads in the city) but the heaviest of the snow was as I rode to work. That was "fun"...
More snow in our little bit of Durham overnight, all the village schools closed. The school MrsBanjo works at out in the sticks is closed, with the head disappointed on losing their reputation as the school that never closes.
Snowing pretty steady, no indication of the estate roads were cleared yesterday, or of the footprints in yesterday's snow.
Having doubts about the lyrical accuracy of this bluegrass classic now
Not much snow, but what there is is being drifted really heavily. Fields are clearing while the roads are filling up! No school transport today so although the schools are open the kids are at home. MrsC took the big car to work so she’ll be fine.
