Good luck today LG and AR luck

I looked into heart rate training years ago - I even went as far as trying a vo2 max test, but wasn't actually fit enough to do the full test!! Using the info they were able to get meant my exercise was meant to be carried out at a heart rate that basically had me at a brisk walk which I didn't want to do as I wanted to run so I just ran and gave up on using the HRM!!

Hiya folks. Race done in my slowest time of it yet. ;-) The first 4 miles was run with Serendippily from the 700 thread so lots of chat going on. I swear that the route is 5 miles uphill and 1 down. ;-)

I wear a HRM these days, just because I have one but it doesn't make any difference to how I run - it just gives me another statistic on here. :)

No more races for a couple of weeks now and I'm going to re-visit Project Joker for the next 10 weeks.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Running mojo been absent for a couple of weeks due to not feeling 100% for various reasons, if it wasn't for the race last week and parkrun I would have done nothing. Back on it again tomorrow so I don't fall too far behind my mileage target. Booked a couple of gym classes too.

Well done Alpen, glad you had a good time despite not being faster there than last time. I think if I was to go by the heart rate monitor I would be walking mostly too Kwala. Mind you, I do like walking and in some ways prefer it to running. I did six miles today and walked a lot of it. Frag my mojo has vanished, I hope you get yours back and maybe the gym will help, doing something different to just running.

Hope you're feeling better Frag, and that you find and keep a hold of your mojo!!

Well done on the race AR, hope you enjoyed it despite your time - always good to have company.

This evening I encouraged my running buddy round 2 miles in what I think might be her quickest time so far. Big smiles and high fives at the end. I've booked in for a PT session tomo, really looking forward to it, hope legs don't end up too mashed to run at club on Tuesday.

Thanks ladies, hope the mojos come back this week and doing some cross training does help with that.
Lem, how much longer until you change jobs now?

Well it's complicated, so it's hard to say Alpen. Also more complicated this week because someone is resigning, and I want their job (more than the one I am selected for and waiting for). My boss also wants me for the job. But there is a process to be followed. So it could get more complicated. And it won't be quick. So I am now wrapping my head round possibly staying in this job until the end of the year, and rejecting the job I have been offered, in order to apply for this new job that's coming up. Which I should get but might not. Between me and you I would really like to just resign and be a lady of leisure, I think I would be very good at that!

Is there any reason you can't apply for the internal job even if you have left by that point? Or would it be internal candidates only. I wouldn't be turning down the job offer if it was me - a bird in the hand and all that...
