Fragile Do Not Bend
Aagh, major quandary this morning. Got ready to go out for a run, not sure how far as my calves are a ? at the moment but going to try for a long one, turned my Garmin on the to find it was only about 1/3 charged.

Do I risk it or plug it in for a while and hope it doesn't take too long getting a bit more charged? I've already faffed around and took longer to get ready than I planned. Decided in the end to plug it in as I want to do some bug clearance.

Well, I think you answered your own question there Frag. :) Good luck.

I'm going out before dark and will hopefully catch my 3 bugs and kill them.

Have a good run Frag and Alpen. I had a nosebleed half an hour ago and now I have a headache so not feeling too good. I'm at work and I have self-prescribed paracetamol for the headache and a small bag of gummi bears - loss of blood, therefore I need sugar, right?!?!

Fragile Do Not Bend
Hope you feel better soon L10!

Garmin held out for the run and I managed 10 miles for the first time in ages, even though it was a run/walk.

Brilliant Frag - both you and the Garmin! 10 miles in the bag! I am very tempted by the marathon Saxons Vikings and Normans are doing next October, for slow runners, called Betteshanger marathon, near Deal in Kent. I should have entered it for this year but left it too late, I am thinking of entering it for next year, the medal had snails on it this year!

Fragile Do Not Bend
A couple of friends are going to run/walk a SVN marathon in November which is almost totally flat and has a cut off of 7 hours. Totally do-able in theory as that's 16mins/mile but I've never run (or run/walked) more than 14 miles - so why am I thinking of doing it? I need my head examined.

Hi everyone!

I like the sound of that marathon (not for me, mind) :-)

Well done on the 10 milers and parkruns and muddy obstacle runs!

I finished my 5 weeks of medication yesterday - hooray! I am DYING to get outside just for a walk but DD has been so ill that she can't go outside!!! It's so frustrating, especially with the sun shining. The doctor says it's a virus and will get better but it's taking its time. She seemed much better yesterday but it's 2.30pm and she's fast asleep having not eaten lunch. It's going to be a boring half term.

To make sure I do something I have been stripping wallpaper, which warms me up so counts as exercise. It's slow progress. We got a massive solid oak fireplace for £35 from eBay so I need to get a move on so we can get that fitted. Had my flu jab yesterday evening so my arm is a bit achey but much better than last year.

Good news DoD
Well done on the run Fragile and glad the garmin held out.
Hope nothing serious there L10 :-(
Inspired by L10 at the weekend my 5 miler this afternoon was a non stop run and like L10 the twice I needed to cross the road the traffic was being kind (or maybe not ;-)) and I didn't need to stop...don't think I could ever do 10 like that mind
