Love the Halloween costumes! DD missed her school Halloween party due to illness but she's made up for it by dressing as a witch all weekend. :-)

I am so unfit. Struggled to walk up a hill twice this weekend! Will definitely need to go back to walking before I attempt a run, although I find walking fast so boring. It's either a stroll or a jog for me.

It sounds like everyone is putting tons of effort in of late - very impressive!

Great running and great Halloween running kit! Walking is you way back to running DoD so when you get the chance do it and stick with it until you are more comfortable running. You've been so ill so the fact you are even contemplating running is brilliant! I only ran once last week (yesterday) so I have to try and get out more this week.

DoD do lamposts - run between a set and then walk between a set or a couple of sets, it's a good compromise :-) glad your DD had fun

I love the pics our lovely lot have posted of their spooky running.

I didn't manage much running last week as we were away but I did cycle (slowly) in the Forest of Dean and had a good yomp through the Brecon Beacons.

The Wombling Plodder (Welsh Womble)
Great photos and blogs on "100 Running Words" :-) Love the legs DQ heart

DoD - walking is good - I got a parkwalk PB by over a minute at parkrun on Saturday - and the time before I took 2 minutes off my previous walk time - it gets the heart working but is gentle on the joints and lungs xxx Since I have been doing pilates, I concentrate on my core and how my hips are moving (rather than all the movement being from the knees) so I don't get a chance to get bored - especially with all the autumn colours ;-) Good luck!

Not much running to report from me, family stuff and returning to work has sapped my energy a bit plus I face planted the weekend before last and had ouchy knees for a week too :-o A nice easy run planned for the morning and then parkrun on Saturday, hopefully back to 3 next week - 20 days to my 10km race (eek) - it's been a long time since I clocked up that distance!

Enjoy the rest of the week - I shall be travelling East on Thursday to say a final farewell to my auntie #BitterSweet, hopefully a nice walk along the seafront on Friday morning before I return home will help the mind and the soul.

Ouch! Wom. I read somewhere about lifting up your hamstrings rather than lifting your knees. It seems to engage the glutes more.

We really need to pick up our feet even more at the moment as you don't know what all those fallen leaves are hiding underneath.

I've run 3 days on the trot now so having a couple of days off running, off for a nice walk by the Solent today.
