Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Just dug my rope out and did three sets of 100. Was surprised I got to 100 straight away on the first set without getting the rope caught, did get caught briefly on number 48 on the second set but then fine all the way through on the last set.

I was very out of breath though at the end!

Since my last post I’ve been doing some skipping a couple of times a week, usually as part of a mixed session. Managed a couple of unbroken 100s this morning. It’s definitely all about getting into a groove isn’t it?

I got bored of the skipping and dropped it. I do agree though, once in a groove it seems to work as long as you concentrate. I might look to re-start this as it was nice for a change

I’m definitely not a fan of just skipping on its own, Bazo. If I break it up in a circuit or something it’s a lot more bearable.

Thats what I am thinking. I am not running much as I recover from injury and skipping might actually be a good addition to my tedious stretch and strength routine. Better balance and stronger glutes are part of my rehab. I am due at the physio in 34 mins time and might ask if skipping would be a help

I had a 30 day think that had skipping and planks. I might do that again.

New PB today: 218 unbroken!😃

I did a workout alternating sets of deadlifts with 100 skips, only on the last set I just kept going until I messed up.

Has anyone tried “double unders” (where the rope makes 2 rotations on each jump) yet? I managed a couple the other week and it’s hard!

I checked out a couple of “how to” YouTube clips and the advice seemed to be that until you can consistently do 200+ single it’s not really worth trying the doubles, so I guess I’m getting closer!
