It's been snowing in St Anton for 24 hours now and the village webcam (1300m) is showing -12*. Setting up nicely for me for later next week.

I am massively excited to be off to Jackson Hole on Saturday. 1) I just wanted to say that and 2) has anyone else been before and can recommend any good restaurants, ski runs etc?

Jackson Hole - that's nails! There's that famous hard run there, Corbett's Coloir or something - think you have to plummet off an almost sheer wall then navigate a narrow ravine or something. We'll expect a report from hospital...:-) Never been there though.... No skiing for me this year but just sorted next year's sortie: Canada - Sun Peaks, Big White, Silver Star. 3 Lovely resorts far enough into the Canadian interior to be out of reach of City daytrippers from Vancouver/Calgary and the Euro package tour crowd. Slopes'll be near empty midweek, lovely. For the wife's 50th... |

To be fair you can see some ledges where you could side slip down, there was someone part way down early in the footage, then that bloke went off the cliff backwards with a twist...
