I looked at the declutterers thread but there are no links relevant to my question so here it is:
What are the best sites/methods for selling things, please? Who has had luck with what and where?

Clothes and musical instruments and equipment are my two most lucrative hopes. But possibly also books, vinyl, magazines and comics.

We've had limited success selling things that we think are of worth on various forums.

Sold our vivarium on Shpock.
Failed to sell lots of good quality kids clothes.
No point trying to sell CDs/Books unless you know there's a market for the artist/author (check the selling sites) Maybe music magpie but never bothered myself for general titkes.

I give a lot of old stuff to charity (part for the good) but can't be bothered packaging stuff to sell for a pound or 3.

Check out Shpock, ebay, Facebook, etc.

I did well with Magazines and comics on Ebay BUT ! I checked out the site first to see that next to no one else was selling these AND that they were actually selling. If you go on there and theres thousands then dont bother

Facebook market place has served us well locally

I've always taken lots of stuff to charity shops, but some years ago made a bit of worth-it-to-me cash by selling designerish clothes via a dress shop.

I'd rather not use Facebook as I don't really apart from my running club occasionally.

I've done better selling more expensive items on eBay, I got fed up with people messing me around on Facebook Marketplace. There is a lot of useful info on MSE here forums.moneysavingexpert.com

Vinyl, do you have any local record shops? The same for magazines and comics.

I spent far too much time watching reseller videos on YouTube during the first lockdown. This

video about selling CDs was useful as are most of the other videos.

what instruments do you have Sharkie? There are some specialist places like Reverb, but i've never used them.

I'm in the market for an upright piano eventually, but might be persuaded by an electronic one... (its for practicing singing to rather than being a good player of piano)
