I allowed myself time for breakfast and a couple of chapters of my book before getting started with decorating. The decorating has been needing done for years so getting it done will be self care in a sense.

How have we all done? I think I have had a nap or watched sthg on the tele every day. Today I have been for a run and been climbing.
Hope we can keep the self-care going into Jan

I've found this thread really helpful in reminding me of all the small things I can do to look after me, and maybe prevent me going a bit mad (or slow the progress of the insanity at least).
The last couple of days have been manic as I did not want to start another year saying 'I really need to decorate the living room'. It's been exhausting but I have actually really enjoyed it. Listening to music and doing something that requires little brain power. Oh and my living room is beautiful.

I've been writing it in my personal planner (something I treated myself to in early December) I've got those spider diagrams for it.
Do you think we could change the thread title to self-care every day and continue the thread?

Yep, I'd be up for that.
I have a new notebook and started yesterday using it for daily gratitude and reflection and other good stuff.
