Hmmm... well i'm scottish and live in scotland and run in scotland... but i've no intention of running the west highland way (walking half of it in 24hrs was hard enough!) or the larig gruh (mainly cause i can't spell it but also cause i nearly died up there on a mountainbike once)... a wee doddle over the pentlands is about as extreme as i can manage... can i still join the thread?

I think Chatelheraut might be quite hilly - not sure of the exact route yet though.
But it is lovely, and I'm doing it, and I know the guys who run the shop who're sponsoring it, so i say do the 5 k!

I'm still trying to pluck up the courage to attend this Monikie thingy this weekend, still not ran since Chicago Marathon in October.

Tigger there is a 5k at Haddo end of January, 28th I think. Nice place to run and only one short steep hill, downhill and flat after the hill. I would class it as a multi-terrain race though as its grass and trails.
