Cambus Quarter today, 6.5 miles, flat as a flat thing, mixed terrain, can of beer, water, sweets, freshly cooked burger at finish, plus various other goodies, all for £12, highly recommended.

agree with ally, was a damn fine race, would definitely do it again, (even with the wee 1 and a bit mile grass section).

Couple of things: You may have seen that the Forth Road Bridge is closed to all traffic today (bar maybe some service vehicles). After reopening for six days (I'll have to go for a last "bump bump bump" over it) it will close for conversion to public transport corridor). It will still be open to pedestrians and cyclists but I presume not all quiet and peaceful (maybe it will be at times). But today is a potentially one off opportunity. I've eve seen some pics where someone was running down the road itself. Linked to this someone is organising a virtual 10K with the leftover real FRB race medals. It seems there is also to be a real running of the virtual race tonight (!?) starting 7pm at Inverkeithing P&R. entrycentral.com (If I go along I'll be running from the South side at some random time.) |

Can't find a route map for Stirling. Starts in Stirling now and out by Blair Drummond with the same finish?

Sounds like it Ally "With a new start and finish in the city centre, runners will follow a route past Blair Drummond Safari Park and through Doune, Dunblane and Bridge of Allan where hundreds of spectators lined the route during the 2017 event. Runners will then make their way back into Stirling city centre via the University of Stirling." Makes sense - the A84 from Stirling to Blair Drummond was completely shut to traffic anyway, so might as well run along it than have to sit in a bus along it. Gets rid of all the problems with the buses as well. Might be tempted now ! |
