About six miles closer to Stirling than the Falkirk Park Run.

I'm moving to Fife (yay! ish!!) Who should my second claim club be? I want to retain my Harmeny membership (10 years now).
Fife AC (Glenrothes- East Fife, wrong side. I'll be near Dunfermline) Carnegie (right in many ways but... those lumo colours?!) Falkland Trail Runners (love the Psycho Skwerls logo!) PH Runners (PH stands for Pan Handle - nuff said?!) Lomond Hill Runners (very small, but hills is good) Pitreavie (quite like them, bit smaller, old school?) Dunfermline and West Fife AC (never heard of them. Ninjas !) Kinross (not Fife but close and great club I believe)
I probably just want them mostly to show me around some hill routes locally at weekends. Actually, maybe not even that. Can always find for myself. No point in any midweek evening sessions because I wouldn't get there as I still work at west of Edinburgh.
Any recommendations? Ta G

Well, you pays your money, you takes our choice... IMHO.. Fife AC - as you say not really local Carnegie: I have just joined there. At least you'd be able to see your clubmates in the dark Falkland Trail - again, too far PH - I think they are a breakaway from CH, because they felt CH was not sufficiently focusssed on road racing. I could be wrong. Don't sue me Lomond- If you like the hills ( I don't) Pitreave - mostly a proper athletics club, track and field. They do have a road running section DWFAC- do they exist ? I've never seen a vest at a race Kinross - if you're at Halbeath, Kinross is 10 minutes up the M90.

Any other Fifer suggestions?
Also, any gym recommendations in Dunfermline, Halbeath area? I know that there's a Bannatynes at Duloch park. Are there any hotels with gym/spa in the area too? G

Just practical, HG, as I can't make it to WCH training any more. Other commitments get in the way. On gyms. I pay £27 a month for swim and gym membership at the Carnegie centre. It's in central Dunfermline. It's run by Fife Leisure Trust, a council spin off so it's not public or private. The gym has just been refurbished with new equipment and a load of brand new spin bikes. The pool is a 25 m pool and there is nearly always a lane or two reserved for proper swimming. I'd suggest you check it out at least before joining a private gym like Bannatynes which I think will be more expensive

Gav - keyring would be a good person to have a chat with, if you haven't already done so, sure he'll know people in all of those clubs, and he has both Carnegie and PHR listed as his clubs on here. Don't think he's on the forums much if at all, but you'd get him on FB.

You can. You need a gym induction session before they will let you use the equipment. A one off session is about 4.50 and a 45 minute class like spin/rpm is £5.10
