Anyone like to be involved in starting up a parkrun around Kinross? Below taken from FB post:

"Kinross-shire Community Sport Hub has raised the necessary funds to develop a parkrun for adults and a meeting is planned on Thursday 14th Sep at Loch Leven Campus at 6.30pm to begin the process of developing this initiative. Parkrun requires volunteers and a management team to get things operational and I would be very grateful if you could share the date and time of the meeting with anyone you know that would be interested in supporting the sport hub to get this set up so that we can find a small team of people that can make this happen. Any help is much appreciated. Everyone is welcome to the meeting."

Cool! Hope it's flatter than Dunfermline! I'll be living somewhere between Dunf and Kinross in a few months, so I may well be interested in helping out. Thanks for highlighting Dv. :-) G

I wonder where the Kinross PR would be. It could be an out an back on the loch leven footpath. But that's prone to flooding

There's a wee park called Kirkgate park, down by the Loch. Looks like about 1 mile round - 3 lapper? Couldn't find any info on that Kinross-shire CSH FB page though. :-) G

And if anyone would like to know more about the prospective Plean parkrun, the core team will have a stall at the Plean Country Park Summer Fair this Saturday. Family fun from 1100-1500! Ideal to combine with a bit of parkrun tourism at Falkirk (though I'll probably be elsewhere). Had a run round PCP yesterday with some people who didn't know it and they really liked it.

Plean will be nearest to me, might move between there and Falkirk, like the folk there.

Perth is my current closest at 44.1 miles, Plean will be 42.7 miles.

Hmmm, not a great help, 85 miles worth of diesel to run 5km seems not very enviro ( or wallet ) friendly.

Think I'll be stuck in the parkrun 50s for a long time

Wasn't there a Stirling or Bridge of Allan parkrun mooted? That would become your closest Gus, wouldn't it? Maybe you could help them set it up? :-) G

I googled Plean country park. It's near Falkirk?
