iaincr Oct 2022 12:37pm, 10 Oct 2022 997 posts	0 iaincr HG, Mcover was great as usual, near perfect conditions, vest weather, a wee bit of a head wind along the long straight after you come up this hill out of torrance, chip timed and lovely feel of a club run race. lumpier than I remember, but think I say that every year !!

K5 Gus Oct 2022 3:25pm, 10 Oct 2022 5,426 posts	0 K5 Gus Nope, ran XC many times in fell shoes, eg Inov8 X-Talon or equivalent. You can also get away with trail shoes, but they have less grip, so depends on badly churned up the course gets.

STOOSH Oct 2022 6:12pm, 10 Oct 2022 3,402 posts	0 STOOSH Which xc races are you doing Ally? Certain courses are suited for spikes like Cumberland and Falkirk but not essential. I always wore spikes as I found them lighter.
