How was the Neil McCover 57.5DoP? I'm gutted I missed it.

Falkland's squirrel t-shirts are awesome Ally. Lots of Kinross doing Tufty Trail Race too, glad you enjoyed it!

Fiona Matheson is amazing. :-) G

Fiona just keeps knocking out records. A great talent and an old training partner of mine when I was with the Falkirk Vics!

HG, Mcover was great as usual, near perfect conditions, vest weather, a wee bit of a head wind along the long straight after you come up this hill out of torrance, chip timed and lovely feel of a club run race. lumpier than I remember, but think I say that every year :) !!

Are spikes essential for XC folks?

Nope, ran XC many times in fell shoes, eg Inov8 X-Talon or equivalent. You can also get away with trail shoes, but they have less grip, so depends on badly churned up the course gets.

Which xc races are you doing Ally? Certain courses are suited for spikes like Cumberland and Falkirk but not essential. I always wore spikes as I found them lighter.

Just Cumbernauld, got roped into it😀 Don’t really want to buy spikes for a one off.
