Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Only a short section of front there iirc (shipyard then in way) down to the Titan crane. A bit grungy. Canal/ cycle route better bets.

Kelvin park is lovely to run in? I don't know Glasgow well though. I have run along the Clyde before. Nice wide pavements. Busy road though. :-) G

Canal path is ideal and easy to access from the hotel.

Run out to under the Erskine bridge and back, climb up onto the bridge if you want some nice views.

Just back from a bike ride to Bowling on the canal. Nice view of the bridge from the old Erskine Ferry slip (you'll see the signs on the towpath

and pretty boat scene at the west end of the canal.

Bowling Marina is a pretty spot. The NCN route continues to Dumbarton (and Loch Lomond if you keep on going). At Clydebank you can see the world's only sail-through chippie and the giant bicycle. You then have a choice of carrying on along the canal or following the cycle route towards though not onto the Clyde, which I (as a country mouse) find quite interesting in an urban variety way.

Combined, the routes take in parts of the Dumbarton 10K, the Clydebank 10K, and the B2C (Balloch to Clydebank) HM. Another feature is how the routes lend themselves to a one-way run, with a train ride back to Dalmuir.

I was down there a few weeks ago 57.5 DoP before continuing up to Lomond Shores. Its a lovely wee place, the Marina. Nice views and some nice wee shops. They put a lot of effort into the cycle path there. Overall its.a great we run down from Glasgow, with plenty of options.

All looks lovely, probably only have a 30-40 min slot to run. Would be lovely to run further though.

My wife has been told if Morag Millar doesn’t do this weekend’s XC she might have to take her place, they’re respective running abilities aren’t really comparable😂😂😂
