Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Edinburgh parkrun yesterday wasn’t completely calm. There was the usual headwind on the final 2k so it puts her achievement on an ever greater level.

That’s interesting on the wind SOAPM. at holyrood my sense of the wind direction was that it would have been behind you for the second half of cramond. My sense of direction must be out unless the wind can be different ways just four miles or so apart.

It can, Bazoaxe, and I suspect that the hills of Holyrood Park have an interesting effect on the wind direction as well. I wonder if the parkrun circuit might ever have a headwind in all four directions? ;-)

Weather records say the wind yesterday was from the West South West. Not a direct headwind but coming from about 10/11 O clock if 12 is directly ahead.

Did the Tufty Trail Race organised by Falkland Trail Runners earlier. Good race with refreshments at Strathmiglo village hall afterwards.

A real pity only half the places out of 100 sold, only a tenner too.

If you complete the race can you claim to be a member of the Tufty Club?*

103:56 Wava for Fiona Matheson at Edinburgh Parkrun yesterday. 18:44 for a v60-64.
Interesting juxtaposition on the previous page as I once overtook Fiona Matheson on Boghead Road in the Neil McCover race. I clearly will not be overtaking her any time soon.

The Falkland Trail Runners call themselves the Psycho Squirrels for some reason.
