Ale, sounds like a difficult visit but sure it was appreciated.
Hazel, no running for me yet, too queasy still, slowly improving though. And finally the 1000 piece map jigsaw is finished!
Veloci, hope the half goes well. How early do you start? I still managed breakfast before my 6am start ultra though it was a wee bit of a struggle!

9.15am start, @ElspethF. I've got a flapjack to eat on the start line if dinner has worn off by then. It's actually plenty of time to eat breakfast, but when the hotel receptionist told me there was a communal kitchen with dishes and a fridge it didn't occur to me that I could buy a bottle of milk and my usual breakfast cereal until ... now. And I'm not going shopping now.

What 4.6 miles this evening before work. Felt a bit laboured so since Sunday will be night 3 of 4 I will have a rest day on Sunday.

What: possibly a swim

Why: driving 200 miles to see a friend who is unwell; the hotel has a pool.
Not looking forward to the drive as the furthest I have driven since February is around ten miles!
