Three weeks since I've been able to run now FJ. Good to hear that you feel ok to begin to build again.

DT - The antibiotics should hopefully do the trick. Good work on the 18 after last weeks 24, the speedy PR and getting yourself into great 10'5 shape. Apart from the sinusitis, looking good. Wardi - Like OO, on colder days I wear insulated non-running gloves, made for builders I think. Good work on getting another 65miles d&d. Your the threads big mileage monster at the mo. 0061 - That relay sounds an exciting race, well done you and the team on the victory. Nice 18m for a good looking 50m week. FJ - Yes, I was where you are last year on 15-20m weeks as marathon prep. Not great, hopefully you can kick on from here. OIne thing in our favour, Newport should be spot on 26.2 miles this time around.
LMH - Frustrating. Riggsy - Nice one on the busy weekend, 43m week and the 20m. TT - All positive stuff, glad your enjoying the coaching. TR - Yes, Pompey getting well out of trouble now, beating my team in the week. Good progress and good to see the mileage ticking-up. Hope the trend continues.
21m yesterday and 64m for the week. A good group run yesterday with 3 guys London bound, 1 aiming for 2.35, 2 for 3.03-3.10 and another guys who is a 6-start marathon finisher, so lots of marathon chat as we ran. Thankfully dry and able to run in a light long sleeved top as it was reasonably warm and sunny. pacing a bit quick as the run was around 7.30 mm, but all felt ok. So the sequence of long runs has started!

OO61 - great win, which leg were you. Good news on the knee front with a race backed up by 20m.
TT - good that you are making progress on many fronts.
DT - good one on the appointment then. Hope they kick in soon. Maybe not the 4 days off, but defo worth a day or 2 whilst the meds kick in?
Forest - hopefully you can build a bit now then.
Ouch - that's a strong long run and week. What date is your next mara?

TT.. good progress again and the coaching sounds rewarding for you.
Riggys.. that sounds a challenging 20m, glad you enjoyed it. Sunday weather was a lot more cheerful than Saturday which was a bonus.
FJ.. it is so frustrating getting injuries and niggles when trying to build up to a marathon. Good to see you've made some progress.
DT19.. bad news on the diagnosis but at least you have a possible cure with the antibiotics.
OO.. top work on the 21m yesterday, sometimes good to run in company. I do envy your warmer temps!
8.8m today, a bit of a raw wind but dry and a reasonably clear sky.
One of my small jobs for the club is assembling results from Parkrun and elsewhere. Mixed fortunes at the Temple Newsam 10m, our V40 was leading but took a wrong turn at a junction where there was no marshall. No idea why the lead vehicle lost him. Some consolation that our leading lady won in 66.52. This is a tough mixed terrain course, around 3 mins slower than a road 10m. Our young fast lad was 6th at the Wrexham half, took his PB down from last year's 69.28 to 66 52. I did hear that he has trained with some of the Leeds City fast guys a couple of times which has no doubt improved him.

TR - Newport, April 13th. Wardi - 66 minutes, mighty sharp. Yes we are fortunate to currently have warmer temperatures vs the rest of the UK. Pretty bracing today though on a coastal walk with the pooch.

Ouch - that's 7 or 8 weeks, so having run recent marathons and being up to 20m in a 65m week puts you in a good place.

Hope you can pull it off FJ. Low miles but a solid week of activities. Crikey Wardi some real fasties in your club. Why do you assemble parkrun results? Another fantastic week OO. Good pace on the long run- mine was 9:30 pace 😆 Impressive response from NHS DT, hopefully the antibiotics will not mess with your fitness too much. 3 weeks is a big no run gap LMH, hope it ends soon. TR I was second leg. I'm usually put in 1st leg but the demotion to second reflects my slowing pace. Knee sore today so took a rest.

OO61.. our club have a FB page like many others. The results are no more than a news item that keeps members interested and updated. There is a method of finding all your clubmates who have done Parkrun on a weekend; be it locally or overseas.
BTW our MV65 Mike J who you know clocked 5.22 for 1500m and 2.33 for 800m over the weekend. He seems to be coming back well from last year's injury.
Congrats on the relay trophy! 🏆

Rest from running today but did my physio exercises, loads of calf raises, some hamstring exercises and a bit of yoga.

Feels like -4C here at the minute - I'd love some warmer weather too! Going a bit stir crazy with just the gym so headed out for a walk yesterday but it was too cold to be comfortable and enjoyable. Back to the gym this morning.
How are you doing TR?
Sorry to hear your knee is niggling OO61 but not surprising really. You still haven't got round to investing in yourself with a paid for physio appointment?
You are a model of niggle management riggys.
