LMH - it's wet and wild here already.

OO - hilly 10m av 7mm is a good marathon training run

TT - hopefully the progress keeps going.

Riggsy - good progression.

OO61 - you must be on the mend doing 200s and a mile race.

Wardi - enjoy yourself

DT - one race a year being ruined by the weather is great stuff, I'm probably used to somewhere between a quarter and half of mine being affected by winds down here.

I can still get moving enough to run, it's more tick over than training mileage though. Not having to keep wounds dressed will be a breakthrough. I'm not too fussed, been busy.

Tomorrow looks dreadful, a day to go nowehere for sure!

TR, yes I cant complain and if I were to pick a race this year to be blighted by the weather it would be this one (it always is whether it's snow (missed it twice in last 8 years for that) pouring rain (2 of the 4 times ive run it) or a last minute rerouting for a police incident adding 400m on and costing me sub 60). It seems to be a race that comes with a degree of interruption!

easy 4m yesterday and spin, 5m with strides over lunchtime and a rest day tomorrow. Had the start list through and looking down it and in conjunction with po10 i'm definitely in with a shout of an AG win and guaranteed a Midlands masters medal. So it'll be a race with people and not my watch.

We had wet, wild and windy yesterday afternoon TR but it blew through overnight. Calm before the storm at the moment with heavy rain and winds gusting up to 57mph tomorrow so it's going to be a low mileage week for me as there's no way I'll be running in that. Working Sunday but it doesn't look much better then anyway.

Nice to have a target other than a time DT19.

OuchOuch
TT - Very positive attitude, I suppose its still relatively early days in the condition settling done. See what happens in terms of racing and great to see your using your knowledge to benefit your athletes.

OO - 1.14 is sharp, 5.40 mm! With the wind behind you, you'd probably go faster than that at PR tomorrow. My knee problem, after being very painful a month ago, is now 1/10 on the pain scale. The gel helps but mother nature seems to find a way.
TR - It was 10m overall, with 7 of those @ 7 mm. Ticking over and being consistent is fine at this time of year.
DT - That sounds like pure racing, a nice change. A real chance of an AG win is some incentive. Yes, 75-90 mph gusts & red amber warnings here tomorrow so thinking of blowing out the Plymouth Argyle home game. Also got a bit of a cold so the TV looks attractive.
LMH - Very wise tomorrow, a day to be indoors.

Rest day for me tomorrow too, so did earlier 1.25m wu & 4 tempo. Came out a bit better than planned with flat miles 6 - 6.16 and the hilly one a new strava segment PB of 7.59.

DT - Defo more a race for position rather than time, which is a nice change.

LMH - defo some wild weather recently

OO - shaping up nicely. Good to be able to hit that sort of pace.

I ended doing a double bike commute and morning weights today, so will end up being another 4 or 5 day run week. Things have tailed off a bit recently. I could do with something giving me boost early next year.

Sounds as though you're going to get it worse than us OuchOuch.

TR - I don't think a bit of down time now is going to do any harm and it might just give you that boost early next year. I think mentally as well as physically it's a good time for a break.

LMH - agreed, although i have a slight concern that I'm losing interest as I didnt race as well as I'd have liked this year.

Another good reason to take the pressure off TR.

I'm sure you'll get your motivation back in the new year TR, when you have a race to aim for.

Swim and few easy miles today. No sure I'll find a local parkrun on tomorrow.

All looking very messy next 36 hours.

Ouchouch, I see Plymouth and Cardiff have called their games off.

Oo, yes most in these parts are off as well as my sons footy this week.

Tr, a bit of a cut back won't hurt over December. It might allow you to miss running and redevelop the mojo.

5m with strides lunchtime. Rest day tomorrow. Hoping now they don't call the race off as I've tapered for this. Forecast has improved for Sunday morning. By that I mean thev40mph has dropped to 20.

Stay safe everyone.

About This Thread

Hi

Fetch has said us RW refugees can relocate here. I know there are existing sub3 and 3.15 threads, but the fetch threads seem to be for more infrequent posters. The RW threads are more of a daily diary.

We'll see how it goes.

I'm a M57 hanging on to sub3. I'm unattached harriers so like a place to talk a bit of running and find some inspiration and accountability.
