DT - great stuff, well raced. Good to clean up the prizes too. You've had a good year.

Gerrard - sounds wild.

LMH - agreed on the trying to be healthier. Niggles are probably part of the deal at our age.

Was wild again here overnight and through the day. Got 10m done lunchtime in between other things. First run since Thurs.

DT - that’s a class performance. Well done.

TR - good to see you getting a decent run in. How was the body feeling?

I delayed my MLR thinking the wind would drop a bit. Haha, no chance. Still about 50mph and rained for most of it. 11 and bit miles. Committed to doing >40 miles this week, so stuck the plan even if the weather was truly abysmal. 41 miles banked and should be at 50 mpw by Christmas.

DT - Congratulations and well done, that was a well run race. A great way to finish up 2024 for you.

Gérard- Chapeau for getting out there, still 50 mph here, a good weekly landmark ticked off, good 10k yesterday too.

TR - Chapeau too, easy to have bunked off. Well done.

I normally run 9-10 miles with 4/5 of those fast the Sunday before a marathon bit still feel quite ill and its not exactly inviting out there, so had another rest day, watching the rugby on TV. Won't do my marathon chances any harm, if anything a lot of good.

Nice work DT especially in those conditions and a PB 👏
Nice progress Gerard, keep it up.
I did an easy ten with a post Christmas party hangover. 46 for the week.

Well done DT19.

Doesn't sound good OuchOuch. Definitely the right idea to stay on the couch.

I think that when we're constantly running tired and are not quite as well as we culd be the niggles are more frequent and troublesome TR.

Thanks all, pleasing outcome all in. Yet again though I went through 10k faster than I've actually run a 10k this year!

Tr, oo, gerard- good work getting out, wasn't appealing!

I now need to switch my mindset to Tokyo training as it's only about 12 weeks away. Come off yesterday not feeling too bad so will have a chat with Matt about readjusting this week's schedule.

Tokyo seems to be coming round quickly DT19.

Just back from the gym and I am so struggling to motivate myself out in the cold and wet but having just had two days off and with no good excuse not to I need to get a few easy miles in. Have I mentioned how much I dislike this time of year and the bad weather? LOL.

About This Thread

Maintained by TR
Hi

Fetch has said us RW refugees can relocate here. I know there are existing sub3 and 3.15 threads, but the fetch threads seem to be for more infrequent posters. The RW threads are more of a daily diary.

We'll see how it goes.

I'm a M57 hanging on to sub3. I'm unattached harriers so like a place to talk a bit of running and find some inspiration and accountability.
