I really did enjoy it - my smiliest run for ages! I actually feel quite excited and optimistic about my running and want to go and do it again today!! But I won't- my poor old body needs it's rest days. I'll probably go for a walk this evening - see if I can find anything on the treasure hunt list.

Jeffed again this morning 15/30. Stuck an extra 3 reps into my Garmin for if I felt like it but gave myself the option to not do them if i didn't want to! I did them all, so 30 reps in total :-) It was very warm and quite blustery but I really enjoyed it again. I am going to stick with this ratio for a while and gradually build up to a longer run on the weekend of around an hour and stick to 2x30 mins runs during the week.

I deliberately posted the above before downloading my Garmin as I didn't want to be biased as to whether I thought it was a good or bad run by the results! I was pleasantly surprised to see it was actually a bit quicker than last time :-) I put this down to trying to lengthen my stride on the runs so it looked and felt a little bit more a run like than my usual shuffle.

Another good r/w/r tonight. I tried 20/40 to see how it felt - mainly because it's easier to do the maths!! I liked it so may stick with this for a while :-)

Kwala - that’s part of the attraction of Jeffing - no hard or fast rules, it’s what suits each individual and it sounds like you have found your ratio and your mojo heart . And if it gets a bit stale or you fancy a change then there is plenty to choose from. How are you getting on with the transitions?

I've been doing 5 mile Jeffs regularly - did 2 of them on consecutive days and didn't feel beat up like I might have done if I'd run them both with few walk breaks.

Garfield - I'm only doing around 2 miles including my 5min walk at beginning and end but really feel that I could keep going much longer. It's the best I've felt while running in a very long time.

Wom - there's little difference between my run and walk pace so transitions are pretty much walk to slow jog to ruffle and back again. Not sure I get the full benefit of the glide with such a slow pace and short intervals but I don't just stop dead into a walk when the Garmin beeps now so it's smoother transition.
