Parkrun for me too. Couple of walk breaks 30.17min so that's my starting point for 2025.

I did Queen Elizabeth country park parkrun this morning. Ran with my son for the first time ever. Ran the first mile continuously but mile 2 was all uphill and quite steep in places so went to 30:30 but ended up just walking some of it. Mile 3 was mainly running with a couple of walk breaks.

40min shuffle for me without walking. Found it quite tough but I kept going. Average 10.57min mile. 🤸

What a fabulous end to the year Doric. That's set you up nicely for 2025.
Super park run too Pam runs and your shuffle wasn't bad either!
Nice to run with your son lin50 and great to run a continuous mile.
Although I've done a reasonable total this year I'm not really any further forward in getting over long COVID and exercise intolerance despite medication and persistence. In truth it is cheesing me off! My ultra running wife suggests a bit of time off exercise and I'm sorely tempted. I know that if I simply keep on doing the same as I've been doing for four years now then things aren't likely to change .

@hillstrider it’s the opposite side of the A3 to Buster Hill.

It’s a good parkrun course, definitely one for trail shoes as there’s a grassy, muddy downhill part which gets very slippery and the rest is run on gravel/stony/chalky paths.

@lin50 thanks for that Lin. The reason why I asked is because I used to live in Waterlooville, and run to QE and do hill reps up Butser Hill. I was much younger then, and before the introduction of parkruns. I ran the marathon, half marathon and the 5 miles challenge. All very tough races.

Thanks Steve. I have a little 'nosey around' now and again. 😁
