I do at least one 5k per week doing continuous running, and the rest of my runs are run/walk.
I find run/walk a more sociable experience as I have a group of ‘jeffing’ friends and we find it easier to chat when we’re run/walking.

Merry Christmas everybody. My running is really rubbish at the minute for no real reason. Hopefully it'll magically improve in 2025. 🎅😁

If only Santa could give the gift of "comfortable" running! I'm not greedy and wouldn't ask for super speedy but just to be able to go out and enjoy long(ish) run in company.

Merry Christmas all!

@DoricQuine that would suit me just fine too. Maybe we'll get new trainers that could help.

Ugh..you all know that my "running" has been ultra uncomfortable for four years 🤣! I almost resolved to ditch the element of running in the future during my awful outing this morning but since then put it down to having an "off day"☹️ Don't know though if this COVID induced intolerance to exercise will ever go so might be stuck with walk running and not run walking.
Hope you pick up some magic Pam runs and you get a dose of comfortableness DoricQ.

I’ve had a lovely few days of running:
Saturday parkrun and I encouraged my friend to do 60:30 instead of our usual 30:30.
Sunday 30:30 social run doing the Christmas tree 🌲 route.
Monday ‘Christmas stocking’ club run - ran mostly continuously apart from when we stopped for photos.
Tuesday club run doing 45:30.
Christmas Day parkrun - ran continuously.
Boxing Day plod at 30:30 to burn off some of the festive food!

Rest day tomorrow.

Hope everyone’s having a lovely Christmas break.

3x8min/2min for me today. Think I'll stick with that for a few more runs.

Nice days lin50, well done on the continuous running on park run.
Phew, that seems a hard session Pam runs and undoubtedly giving you some zip.
I've had a very low number of miles over Christmas but my annual total is my highest for four years.

Nice one steve45!

I rocked up to the start line of Aberdeen parkrun this morning, not even sure if my guts would let me do 100 metres, never mind 5k and I only ended up with my best time this year, and indeed my best 5k time since 2018! Managed a 30/30(ish) most of the way round.

I also had my highest annual run total since 2019, but as the last few years were barely into doubles figures it wasn't a hard one to beat!

2025 may be interesting!
