I hope to return mid October- who would have thought that a frozen shoulder could get in the way on jeffing!!! In the meantime I have continued walking (I don’t need a high impact bra for that 😂).

Ouch Wombling, I see your problem ;)

I've been stuck on 2.30/30 for ages, seems to work OK - I want to get up to something more like continuous running, but also to keep HR down and I can't quite make that work... yet

I was doing really well on 4:1, about to progress to 5:1, but twisted my ankle yesterday so won’t be doing anything for a while :(

Ouch SarahWoo, hope it's not too serious and you're back on it soon.

That's been going on a long time Wom, hope you get back to normal soon too.

I'm reserving run/walk (at 4:1) for runs which I expect to take over about an hour and a quarter.... And it's a while since I did that.

Sorry to hear that Sarah. Mine has been reminding me that I have stopped doing my strength exercises so I need to be careful - although with x3 per day physio for frozen shoulder I am not sure I can fit anything else in/

I have been struggling of late with a few things and my mojo has gone awol - I have a week off from Friday and getting away with OH and the dog so going to start again when I get back. Hopefully I will have more range of movement in my arm which allows me to get back into a sports bra - although as a starter I could manage in my day to day (just another excuse to not get out there otherwise).

I was going to do the L2R again but I think that I am at that point of staying with run-walk and I shall have a play with the jeffing ratios. I know it works for me so why force something where I keep picking up injuries.

Keep going everyone - I shall be back to post about my run walk - got to keep Kwala company :-) xx

Today I astonished myself by doing 7 and a half miles. I suspect it is years since I did that much. 4:1. Undoubtedly could not have done it running without walk breaks.

How is SarahWoo's ankle, and Womble's shoulder?

Well done Columba :-) Just curious, what was your pace for 4:1? Do you have anything else planned?

Thanks for asking Columba - I have had a set back with my shoulder and yesterday I had a steroid injection so hopefully that will help with the pain. Just need to get my arm mobile now. I am still walking but no structure at the moment.

I have decided to make a start with a structured programme in November and return to run-walking. My 3 events have been deferred to next Sep/Oct so I have a steady plan to increase the RW miles and set my foundation.

For my restart I am going to base my ratios on Jeff’s magic mile table - and will review again after 3 months so that I can have a play to see what suits me. But first off, I need to get my legs and lungs working again ;-)

Will pop back in to let you know how week1 goes.
