You need to start on the first of the month to get a badge for the month, and it's the daily total, not individual session

It starts on the first of the month

Also is it a daily total or an individual exercise total?

Sort of both - it's a daily total for each individual exercise. So to qualify today (17th) you'd need to run or walk or cycle 8km to get credit for each individual activity - two or three different activity types adding up to 8km won't cut it (though you can, for example, have two runs adding up). To get a badge at the end of the month you need a full month of credit for a single activity type.

Thank you @CumbriAndy

Going to attempt the bike and walk next month - can't run anymore so that's not going to happen

If you do the bare minimum for the that day the higher up the leader board you are. You can of course go further but you must at least complete the minimum.

I'm considering walking the sum in August. I hadn't realised I could also cycle the sum so might add that.

31 days and 172 kilometres Walk The Sum is done, badge claimed and I doubt I'll be doing it again!

What started out as a wee challenge to get me out walking again turned into a hard slog towards the end. Not physically but mentally. I'm feeling isolated enough at rhe moment as it is and spending so much time walking on my own was not ideal.

MaltDrinker did some of the shorter walks with me but due to his training and races, the majority of the longer walks were done on my own. Plus the fact he struggles to keep up with me when I'm in full MEPs chasing mode 🤣
I could have split them but I think I would have found it harder to get back out again to complete the distance.
But it's done and I even managed to plan the last day to finish outside a local hostelry, though they didn't have the particular drink I was really looking forward to at the end and had to settle for something else! ..... and they didn't even have the raspberries that should have been in it!! 😠

That's a serious impressive effort. I found RTS was tough enough even if I wasn't actively targetting and it amounted to base building for an ultra.

Well done @DoricQuine . Great effort. I have my eye on this one - just need to find a suitable month

About This Thread

1) Add the digits of the date together e.g 18th = 1+8 = 9km, 20th = 2+0 = 2km.

2) Run that distance on the relevant date to colour it in.

3) Complete the whole month to get a badge.
