Indeed Cheeky’s Dad. There's so much history in those clubs, beating the All Blacks etc. Any tinkering around will upset so many people. The simple fact is that Wales can only support 2-3 elite teams that could compete in Europe and there has to be a way to encourage supporters to watch the team. I don't think it will be long before we're down to Ospreys, Cardiff and Scarlets, which would be a start.

Believe for a lot of the old Welsh team bragging rights were based on if they’d beaten all of the big 3 southern hemisphere teams in tour matches.

But professionalism has changed all that.

Perhaps we don’t know the solution but we do know what the problem is

Finished this book last night. A challenging read at times.

Sure it is. What does he say about the period he was in retirement due to neck issues but kept asking until he found a doctor who said he could keep playing ?

Funnily enough, he doesn't put it quite like that. Does mention paying back the insurance pay out though. I was hoping to find out a bit more about a World Cup winning player and the game from an era before I started following rugby closely. Perhaps understandably there isn't a lot from him due to his memory loss. The bits from his team mates paint an interesting picture of the newly professional game.

Sad story, and seemingly only the tip of the iceberg?

England squad named.

Get Fin Smith starting, he’s the man to play 10 for England.

Interesting news from Glaws/Wales. Zam following the trend set by our very own FlyingScotsman, changing codes to Gridiron.

I don't really blame Zam for following his dream$. It's going to be a torrid 6N for Wales.

Really sad about Thommo - I'll have a read of that book Nico. Hopefully his CTE won't progress too rapidly. I'm sure there's going to be quite a few more high profile players diagnosed in the next 10 years, the professional game is much more brutal now than it was 20 years ago when he was playing.
