Oh yes - hungover before lunchtime, running through town with a duvet cover which we'd turned into an England flag to the bemusement of the Saturday shoppers.....

Lying on the sofa with a sleeping Mini Nico on my chest. She'd been born 10 weeks early on September 12th, weighing 1lb 12oz. Had been in Neo Natal until a couple of days before the final. We decorated the nursery during our run to the final, in fact, somewhere beneath the paint, I scrawled "9th November 2003 England 28 Wales 17. We're going to win the World Cup!" When that Wilkinson drop goal left his boot, I jumped up and nearly knocked her on! 18 years later, she's a rugby player herself. Often ask her if she remembers when we won the World Cup. Her response usually involves England Roses and 2014. |

That Quarter final… Jason Robinson ran like he was on fast forward and the Welsh team were playing at real time.

D’Allaglio crying in the anthems for the semi final. Also extremely memorable was Eddie’s Australia playing utter filth for the tourno them exploding in the first half of the other semi vs the AB’s. Final? Watched the 80 mins but ET on the car radio collecting my daughter from a party. Andre Watson penalising England in the scrums for pushing the Aussies backwards, until Woodward sent the funbus on with instructions not to push…. |

Poor lad. Not a nice experience and you can’t enjoy the ruggers if you’re hammered. bbc.co.uk Perhaps I could have understood the mans reaction if Wales were still playing warrenball 😉 |

Just catching up. Started with Wales Aus. Incredible game. Honestly though, Aus were the better team.
