And there would only have been about 4 cameras available to cover the whole event.

Late to this, but sorry to see Angus frustrated enough to bow out. Hope it's temporary. I very much doubt AC is fighting for the right for genital touching to be perfectly acceptable, or that because it's happened before it's OK now. Just that talk of sexual assault and the like is very much OTT.

Intent has to matter. Right? Situation has to matter. Right? Relationship between the 2 parties has to matter. Right?

What Marler did was either
(i) an attempt to provoke an opponent in to retaliation, or
(ii) a very mis-judged joke by someone whose sense of humour seems to have no off switch.

It needed to be dealt with as a discouragement for anyone else stupid enough to copycat. It has been dealt with. I don't really care whether it got 2, or 6 or 10 weeks; that won't matter in the fullness of time.

In other news, with the lack of live rugby to watch. I see that the SRU are starting to screen matches on Facebook and Twitter channels. If the other nations follow suite (or are already doing so) you can get your game time fix with what you can assume will be a favourable result for your team of choice. :)

See some of the prem clubs agreeing pay cuts to help the clubs survive.

Ironically this includes Sarries.

As something of a continuation of Flanker's post above it does bring sharply into focus the situation that players find themselves in, and how a second income / potential for other earnings is essential for all but the top % of players

(Anyone cancelled their BT sports subscription yet?)

Despite my team having nothing to play for this season, I do miss the League a great deal.

BT are trying, but there's only so many times they can ask Ben, Ugo and Austin, "So, how will the players be feeling during this layoff?"

It's been announced that England are going with Umbro for their new kit.

Has anyone ever seen them supply rugby kit before?
