Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I missed the match apart from the opening 20. Watching the analysis post match would suggest that French had more than a say in the try being saved, not just because Newman tried to go himself. It suggested a great bit of full back play where he actually sold a defensive dummy to Newman, making him think that he was through.

Newman is a great prospect, clearly he needs to reign his ego in and improve decision making at crucial points. He should learn from today, that was a shocker.

Newman had a 3 on 1 overlap in the first half and very nearly blew it by going himself instead of passing. He has a 2 on 1 overlap with a couple of minutes to go. If he passes the ball, Leeds win the game.

I don't think Bevan French somehow conned him into throwing the dummy and going himself. I suspect though that French had a pretty good idea that he would go for personal glory and not just pass it to his team-mate.

Great to see. This really is the most unpredictable season with so many shock results . Especially with Leigh doing so well too.

Yes; I really should have included the Leopards and their bright showing :)

About This Thread

Maintained by Cerrertonia
As suggested on the blog of the esteemed @kev-eats-owt this is a place to discuss all things relating to rugby league. The Superleague season kicks off this weekend, the NRL in early March and hopefully we have a world cup to look forward to in the Autumn.
