@Gobi I get the addiction thing! Speaking as someone who got a longterm injury rather than stopping running because I couldn't bear not to run that chimes. I reckon you'll have a great time and do well.

Details, @fetcheveryone ? Glad it went well but how good was your Mike Gatting impression? (He was a batsman wasn't he?)

My Mike Gatting impersonation was terrible, in that I didn't get my nose smushed across my face by Malcolm Marshall :-)

LOL @Nellers at this point I am going to guess that you are not aware that I am not supposed to run at all on Medical advice ? This advice was given first in 2012 and then followed up in 2015 :¬)

I have some VERY LONG TERM ISSUES :)

I knew you stopped originally on medical grounds. Didn't know it was a "Never again" thing though. Well be careful but have fun. Doctors don't always have all the answers.

@Nellers I was told find a new hobby. :)

My ankles are deteriorating and there is nothing they can do.

At what point do you put walking in old age ahead of being happy with what you have achieved and limping into old age?

I stopped the ultras, the volume is gone but the runner in me just won't die !!!

Hmmm. It's a tricky one, Gobi. Where's the balance between living and just existing? If it's what gives your life meaning and purpose what's the point without it?
