Road shoes or trail shoes?

NordRunner Nov 2024 12:29pm, 2 Nov 2024 4,654 posts	Quote Pin NordRunner I believe the Ghost has a big drop (i.e., heel to forefoot height difference). Be careful not to get too much of a big change if you go for a more trailish shoe, many of which have a lot smaller difference.

I’m in the market for a new pair of shoes. Returning to running after a loooong break. It will be a small part of an overall exercise regime which includes strength training in the gym, swimming, Pilates and functional fitness classes. So I doubt I’ll be running more than a couple of times a week, or more than a few miles. Unless I decide I am going to train for that 10K next May, that is.

I feel I should know the answer to this, but: if I’m going to be running both on and off road, ho...
