Um, men's hockey. No. Will watch the GB women in the final though. Probably.
Have to make my mind up about staying/getting up tonight. Just couldn't do it last night.

It's not on my red button, which is only offering me water polo. I've no idea what's going on; all of the players seem to be fighting with each other and one of the coaches has apparently got 2 yellow cards.

I'm on my laptop and I've just checked the schedule - nothing for me til athletics at 10.30 tonight. It's all fighting (on various surfaces and in different oufits)
Also ... modern pentathlon (made up event!)
Think I'll invent my own pentathlon.

I'm actually watching Dominic Sandbrook's programme about the 80's because women kicking each other is not my cup of tea. Even if Jade Jones is (I think) now guaranteed a medal. (That is right, isn't it, the fighting sports award 2 Bronze medals?)

It's funny that the TaeKwonDo on the tv looks just like a kicking contest. When I did TKD back in the eighties (and before it came famous/popular) there were different schools of thought/style. I was taught to use my hands to (punch/knife/chop) the opponent and also to be more creative with my legs by utilising sweeping moves and crouch kicks etc.
I much prefer to see a kung-fu style approach to martial arts than seeing people trying to fence with just their legs - it does not seem like a sport to me.

I think in taekwondo you have to fight for your bronze, she is in the final so guaranteed silver at least.

I like Nicola Adams but really can't stand boxing in any shape or form. Oh except the training ... the training is pretty good apart from the actual punching of other people.
I can understand the joy of hitting someone else but the joy of watching someone do it is lost on me.
