Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I would like to try and post a reason to be grateful every day in 2014! I was going to do it on the 'what's making you smile' thread but I don't want to hijack it. Feel free to join me :)

Good idea. I am grateful that although my hip is painful I am still able to run. (and for all the usual things like healthy family etc. of course)

Given it's the 5th day of the year I should probably do 4 to catch up:

I've had 4 weeks off Uni and placement to recharge my batteries.

I got to see lots of friends and family over the festive period.

My friends/family have supported me hugely for the last couple of years and continue to do so.

When I finish my course I will be able to repay their kindnesses :)

I'm grateful for the cooked breakfast my best friend and her husband cooked us this morning after staying with us for the weekend after a tree fell into their house on New Years Day and the fact they are all safe and sound.

Great idea Halfpint :-). After a horrid 2013 which saw some dark days I have decided to look forward and celebrate all the good things rather than wasting time and energy on the negatives and things out of my control.

So my reason for being grateful today is having the opportunity to spend two wonderful weeks in Kerala where the Keralans reminded me of what is important :-)
