Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

To prove that costs can be kept down, we got a great deal from a local outlet for the medals and winners' prizes, Lucozade gave us drinks free of charge, high viz jackets were borrowed from another race director and we kept the race licence, insurance and St John's Ambulance fees down by restricting the field to a maximum of 150. As a result, we were able to give a good donation from our proceeds to the British Heart Foundation.

Fair price. A couple of Glasgow area ones which don't require road closures or policing are £8/10 as well, Grangemouth is £13/15 and I think Stirling; and the Polaroids were £16/£18.

Suggest he takes £25 and enters the Baker Hughes instead :-p.

we have this and Brodie Castle 10k later in year ( we also have Glen Moray races but costs there are covered by kind sponsorship of that distillery - and all entry fees go to local charities for those races).

We have had to increase price of Brodie Castle 10k to £15 - to include chip timing and a larger field. I still think that's a cheap entry. Based our costings on no sponsorship / donations but anything that we get will be ploughed into goody bag stuff or bigger medals.

£10 is a good price, I wouldn't pay much more than that for a 10k.

I'd be dead happy with £8 for a 10k. Our local clubs put on a Friday Five series later in the year and they're all £10 each to enter.

Tell him he's welcome to organise his own 10K, £1 per entry or £1.20 unaffiliated, if he likes.
