Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Poorly Feet
I've just popped back to have a read of some of his blogs. A mixture of smiles and tears have occupied the last 45 minutes or so but I'm ever so grateful that Fetch haven't deleted any of Swittle's history. The manner in which he expressed his experiences so comprehensively has taken me back to the time of my favourite running period, with some amazing people, unlikely to be experienced again. Thanks Swittle 💗

His comments come up on my FB memories quite often and it always makes me so sad. He was a lovely lovely man and I wish he was still here

@Diogenes Swittle used to talk about the naked runner in his neck of the woods, but strongly denied it was him 😉

It came to me when I woke up this morning that Swittle would talk about the Running Man of Litherland. I googled LRM and, tragically, he was killed in 2023 when hit by a car whilst out running. Maybe Switts and the LRM run on together somewhere 🤔

About This Thread

Never met him in person but always came across as a lovely man.

If you read about his nightly beach runs you could almost have been running along beside him.

He always encouraged others especially on the How was your run thread.

Hope all your beach run are still as perfect as they were while you were here xx
