Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Wow well done Jim you've got your work cut out now Ness ;-)

Pleased you're feeling fitter GL, be careful with niggles, sometimes you can run them off and sometimes running makes them worse and you end up taking time out before climbing up the fitness ladder again.

I certainly did, FF! 😜

Ran my 5k early this morning. In a time of 29:52. A slight improvement so I’m happy with that.

I’m thinking about trying the project again to see if I can bring my time down any further. I’d quite like to get a 60% WAVA score but I’d have to run under 28:30 to get that!

Any improvement is better than none. Well done Ness I bet it was still very warm even early on.

I think the structure of PJ is great especially when you run/train alone. I added in a recovery run and because I like long distance running I quite often extended the 90 minutes long run. Also the route I use for my intervals and tempo run is a nice 2 mile warm up and cool down. This meant I could keep my weekly distance fairly high, 30 to 35 miles.

Thanks, Lesley and FF.

FF, I think your idea of adding a recovery run and extending the long run sounds like a good idea. Will try that in my next PJ attempt. :)

My 4th week since I finished PJ and the 4th time I haven't done my planned intervals :-( I do have stuff to do but while I was doing PJ I didn't let anything interfere with the sessions but now it's I cba. I really must give myself a good talking to.

Anyway how's everyone else doing?
