I just hope for Cav's sake that he's able to do himself justice. What an opportunity for him though. And a huge shame for Bennett.

He shouldn't be judged on the stage wins previously and his peak. Based on where he started the season and the last few years, just making the Tour even as a replacement is a success already

Yep, competitive. He's got high standards and I'm sure there'll be some drama around him at some point this Tour.

The question is, whether to pick him for the Velogames team..

Just caught the news, whodathunk it, was I a bit prescient in my post of 16th?

I confess to having most things crossed in the last few days, a bit sorry for Sam but I have been a fanboi of Cav for a loooong time. Eddy's record here we come!!!

**I knew that I had made some comment or other recently so went looking for it and along the way noticed um's post that had passed me by so can I belatedly add my congratulations.
