I think the back is an issue and it's what we all wondered. Three weeks is a long time with a back that isn't 100%. A TT on a bad back doesn't sound fun either.

So is this a long term issue he has to manage? When he first got it I thought it had come about from a crash, was that not right?

I thought the big problems were triggered by a crash at the Dauphine (I might be misremembering) but there are long term issues as this article says but he does hopes to have things under control eventually.
