Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Great ride by Alaphilippe. WVA an anchor in the second group as no one thought they could beat him.

WVA needed to try what MVDP did at Amstel and just pull, given nobody was willing to cooperate properly. But easy for me to say sitting here.

Made for a good tense finale though. Chapeau Julian.

On question on Sagan on previous page - he'd considered the parcours too hard for him, so opted not to race. A few of his ilk had made similar decisions, though as it played out not grossly dissimilar to an Ardennes Classic, you have to wonder if they maybe slightly misjudged it.

WvA, s legs just popped and he had to sit down as Loulou squeezed on the pedals up that last .5k of the climb and that was that.

I wonder if Marion Rousse gave her man the same look of love that she gave her then husband Gallopin as Tony took Yellow at the Tour some years ago? Or better as Loulou is her current beau...

Pidcock rode well for 240k and frankly that was 40k more than I thought he would ride to. Excellent performance, 2023 onwards and maybe before then will be so exciting for him and us watching.

Thanks MM. I hadn't seen a start list or anything but he does sometimes do the peloton ninja thing and just appear for the finale.

Fleche Wallone today
Binckbank Dutch stages cancelled owing to increased Covid might only leave Friday and Saturday stages and possibly Friday unlikely as Dutch start town.
