Surprised at O’Connor but very well done to him.

Chapeau to Pog. Not sure about Triple Crown though - surely that would be all three Grand Tours? |

I thought it was a repeat of what Merckx and Roche had done: tour, giro, worlds. Has anyone ever won all 3 Grand Tours in one year? For a long time the. Yeltsin and Giro overlapped so it wasn’t possible was it? |

Just googled it. No-one has won all three in the same calendar year but Merckx, Hinault and Froome have all won all three in sequence so held all three titles at the same time.

I think Pog would have been in with a shout of doing the Vuelta too this year, but I heard him on Watts Occurring saying he pretty much had to give someone else in the team a chance.

It's not really something that anyone would really attempt. Even the Giro/ TDF double done by Pogacar this year was kind of related to being beaten comprehensively at the Tour the previous two years and hedging his bets (and who knows how the Tour would have gone if Vingegaard hadn't had his crash). There's no rumours of Pogacar doing the Giro next year. There were some about Vingegaard (which were dismissed) and it sounds like Evenepoel is definitely doing it.
