Also from Nevada, finally some good news, senator Rosen is only 2000 votes behind with over 55,000 votes still to come from Democrat leaning areas that have thus far returned 2 votes to each republican 1. If she overtakes (and Ralston expects she will), then the senate will be 52-48 Republican, which makes quite a different (because back to the "liberal" republicans Collins and Murkowski able to hold some sway). Of course Repubs are calling cheat there. On the house side, Adam Carlson is gloomy. Thinks likely finish is Repubs -218-220 and Dems 215-217. Says counts can still alter but that's his analysis at current point. History of trifecta led governments is if they don't achieve quickly, they getting a kicking in the midterms. |

I have not seen any commentators remark on something which shouldn't be noteworthy but is - there has been (as far as I can tell) no suggestion whatsoever from the Democrat side that the election was somehow 'stolen', that they lost because of electoral fraud.

Only comments that I've seen about stolen election are that the figures prove that the 2020 election was stolen because Dems have lost a shed of voters. |

Sure, there will be the other conspiracy theory voice out there. But this isn't coming from Democrat politicians. Harris has simply accepted the defeat as she should have done.

Yeah that's fair. By the way Rosen now leads by 13,000 in Nevada. Senate will be 52-48, not 53-47 I'm guessing now, still more to come, but this trends one way. The House will be Republican by a similar margin according to other analysts too now. |

Sorry - apparently it will be 53-47, some commentators reporting 52-48 incorrectly. But still a small victory, Rosen will win, she leads by more votes than there are votes to be counted it sounds like.

Someone I know who works in marketing reckons Trump did very well by getting people who appeal to men aged 30-50 to campaign for him or give him exposure via social media etc - he cited Musk, Hulk Hogan, Dana White and Joe Rogan as examples who influence that cohort. They probably receive their news through the prism of these influencers and not from the NYT or CNN etc |
